When I was a young pup, the Northern IL Threshermans was an annual vacation week for us. My pappy was majorly involved in it for probably a good 15 years of my life. I had my formative years restoring old Maytag engies and Pa had old Case tracors. I spent many an hour on show days threshing oats, shelling corn and being the clowns assistant during the parade around the fair grounds. I remember him pushing me around w/ me wedged in an old tractor tire innertube. I ws so dizzy by parade end, I could hardly walk but the crowd sure crowed when the saw a miniature clown in that tube. To this day, I have a strong desire to own a Rumely Oil Pull and a Superior oil field engine. I surely miss those days of fun and the sight of my now deceased pappy running the sawmill powered by his best friends Keck- Gonnerman. He was walking in tall cotton at the head of that mill.

Basically Smoke, it's a group of folks dedicated to collecting old farm machinery, restoring it if need be and putting it to use so folks can see how it was really done in the day at the beginning of power on the farm. Fun, for some reason the pictures aren't loading today. The video worked fine and I seem to remember a guy that had a scale model steamer that was from down south but for the life of me I can't remember his name.
