I have heard the dry weather could cause this. Looks like my mouse could be right.... Birdhunter1 08-15-2007, 16:11 You don't need a mouse to tell you it is dry, just look anywhere. I swear there was dust coming off the pond I drove by this morning about 10 am with the wind blowing. Yes the leaves will die and turn colors and start falling off when it gets real dry out like it has been for a while. Don't blink but we are about to get a rainstorm here across Jackson County! flatlander 08-15-2007, 16:32 I noticed the same thing here the other day, some leaves falling. Birdhunter1 08-15-2007, 17:17 They've been falling out like that for a few weeks, a few lawns I maintain I now have to include leaf cleanup.. an oddity for August. lifestudent55 08-15-2007, 18:09 Looks like my mouse could be right.... You mentioned something the other day about your mouse predicting an early or cold winter? My grandma always said that the hotter the summer the colder winter will be. Looks like mother nature may be having some of her mood swings this year. Bob 08-15-2007, 18:19 I think the mouse just wanted in the A/C... BAM 08-15-2007, 19:18 My pool filter has been full with leaves since Aug 4th! FunGusAmonGus 08-15-2007, 19:26 I think the mouse just wanted in the A/C... that could be........ Birdhunter1 08-15-2007, 20:04 a neighbor growing up always told me if he had an abundant hay crop then it would be a mild winter and he'd have a large surplus of hay, but if he had a poor hay crop then we would have a bad winter and hay would be scarce. From the looks of it so far it looks like we're in for a tough winter.. which is good, I like the cold, I sell firewood, and I like to hunt in the snow! |
