Gosh ck, I've visited the place years ago but never camped. Beautiful park. Here is the link to the park via IDNR:
http://dnr.state.il.us/lands/Landmgt/Parks/R4/WASHCO.HTM Seems to be informative to me. Someone who has visited the place will share there knowledge I'm sure.
Give us your thoughts if you go and experience this place.

I camped in their primitive area several years ago. Tried some fishing and the only bites we got were from mosquitoes. Some other folks did all right on catfish though.

It is nice and scenic.

We camp there all the time and it is very nice. The lake is beautiful and most weekends very few boats on the lake. We catch fish there every time we go out. I have been fishing there for about 6 years and love it. My wifes favorite fishing hole. I have a price list for the boat rentals I can pm you on Monday when I return to work. Hope this helps.

Cord - anytime you want to go wander around there - let me know; it's pretty close to the house, and I know my way around fairly well there. For me fishing there has been feast or famine..either more than I want to mess with cleaning, or nary a bite LOL
Haven't ever camped there - but the campgrounds look pretty decent.
Let me know and we'll go exploring one day :)
