View Full Version : Gotta start somewhere Fullstrut65 08-13-2007, 18:55 I dont know if its very good, but ya gotta start somewhere. http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa35/Fullstrut65/sunset01.jpg Bob 08-13-2007, 19:28 OK, 1st of the colors are great, the shot has great subject. I'm no pro, but will offer my critique. (Probably worthless??:o my critique I mean) Now do you know the rule of 3rds? While you hit the lower 3rd right on; the sun should have probably been on one side or the other rather than smack in the center. Another thing I try to do w/ sunsets/rises, is take a lot of pics... the angles and light changes by the second, and with digital who cares... delete what you don't like... frame it every way you can think, turn the camera... If you take 20-50 shots (or more) of the same sunset, its surprising how when reviewing them there will be 1 or 2 that stand out. That's just my way, take it or leave it... (or some of it.) Thanks for sharing. BAM 08-13-2007, 20:01 Good advice bob.....I try to take several of the same thing as well. They do all come out different...Then I download them to the laptop and take them off of the card at the same time that way my card is empty again. I tried to enhance it a bit, but the sun has that ring around it that bothered me. Why is that? Because of the low lighting or what? I still don't know what I am doing have the time either.lol.:D Not bad for just starting....What county was this? lol http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o122/bambam203/sunsetsilo.jpg Fullstrut65 08-13-2007, 21:24 I appreciate everyones opinion. I need a lot of practice, so expect to see more mediocre pictures in the future. |
