The Illinois Bowfishers will be hosting a Tournament on Lake Shelbyville,
August 25th and 26th
At the Lythia Springs Marina on Lake Shelbyville.
There will be a $4 launch fee and the entry will be $20 with an optional $5 big fish pot. There is plenty of camping close by.
Registration starts at 9am on the 25th and the tourney starts at 10am with the weigh-in at 10am on Sunday the 26th.
The Steak and Dog dinner will be at 5pm on the 25th at the Lythia Marina shelter.

The team that brings in the biggest gar at the 5pm supper on Saturday gets to eat steaks. :) The rest eat hotdogs (or brats).
There are some real nice longnose in Lake Shelbyville. Here's Alex Grable with a recent Lake Shelbyville gar.

Just got back from Shelbyville. Wow!!!
Thanks to Todd M. for hosting a great shoot. We had a blast and learned more about the lake.
More to come including photo's. Right now the shower and pillow are calling.:D

Gar were tough to come by early and only three teams brought one back to compete for the coveted steak dinner.

At the weigh-in the next morning, we got to see the success that many had.
Two records fell. Rob Mendenhall beat the old carpsucker record by one ounce.
