It was your basic Outdoors show... I would consider it a small to medium sized event. But I grew up going to the Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show in Harrisburg PA... that could literally take you 2 or 3 days to see it all. This show you could see it all in 3-4 hours. I only knew about it through Scott.

That wasn't right, sneaking around huntrz's trophy room and not even letting him know you were there.
Were those local bucks from Tennessee?

DUDE, that ain't my trophy room, my trophy room looks like a who's who of hunters who have killed the most 1 1/2 old bucks! back in the old days we shot at every deer that walked by and I mounted some little bucks, would have mounted more but couldn't get 'em to hold still long enuf...lol
so lately my whitetail taxidermy bill is nothing, which isn't a bad thing except it means I'm not killing any good ones! i'm still waiting to get my bear rug back, and thats gonna be a chunk of change.

I've been waiting to get a look at him (bear rug).
Is your wall big enough for him ? :D
I was shooting today.

I have way more wall than bear, my bear was not large either, i shot it more for the color phase. I was hoping to have my basement finished and hang bear rug on the wall down there, it's not even close so I'm not sure what I'll do with it when its done. what are you going to do with your bear? rug? full mount? shoulder mount?I would really like to have a full mount, but they're so dam expensive! the shoulder mounts look ok, I wouldn't mind having one of those.
good shootin! that bears in big trouble!
flatlander 08-12-2007, 16:40 I was planning on a rug.
But I was told by a few experienced bear hunters that if the bear is ave to large size I would need a LARGE wall.
So if its on the smaller size, rug if ave to large shoulder mount.
I am hoping to have Jim Hunsaker do the work, hopefully I will need some work done. LOL
I've never heard of him til now, i looked up his name, sounds like he has won some awards for his work? do you know him personally? what does he charge for a deer? turkey? bear rug?
nice work! where is hildago illinois?

Had him recommended to me from a friend that has a few bear mounts including full body.
Hildago is near Effingham, between Greenup and Newton IL.
I dont know his prices yet was going to give him a call in the next week or so.
