Illinois was accepted as a member of the interstate Wildlife Violator Compact effective July 1, 2007

From IBS site:
I think we were the 21st state to sign up. There are currently 15,000 poachers with suspended privileges in the database, and the compact reciprocates license suspensions among states participating in the compact.

Beat you to it Lynn. :p

Good... and outlaw is an outlaw, no matter what state they are in.

While looking for more info on it I found this.

Missouri is cracking down on litterers. If you’re caught littering, you have to face the judge. If found guilty you’ll undoubtedly pay a hefty fine plus court costs. And then, to kick you while your down, they’re going to take away your priviledge to hunt and fish for one year. So, you better think twice before discarding that trash.

If you think that is bad, just wait. It gets better. They grind your face in the mud. Missouri belongs to the Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact. In short what that means is if you litter in Missouri, not only can’t you hunt and fish there, but you lose your priviledge in 21 other states. Those states include Kansas, Iowa, North and South Dakota, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.

Maybe a few more states need to start doing this as well.

HOORAY!! Glad to see this..and after the messes I've cleaned up at various public places lately, I have no sympathy for anyone who litters and gets fined.

I wonder if Illinois will ever put some teeth in their littering laws. The swine have been out big time leaving their messes behind. One litterer was so lazy they left their discarded boat trailer winch strap in the parking lot. They took the time to put a new strap on, but couldn't walk the 30 feet to the trash can with their old one.
