Well no big flatty again, but I slayed the channels! I set up two lines for the flatheads then put out another baited with my garlic shrimp. Along about sundown, the Channel cats started hitting that garlic shrimp pretty steady, and they kept hitting it till I finally stopped fishing with it at 11, just in case one of my big lines took off. I reeled in 13 cats, nothing big, mostly between 2 and 3 pounds and released 11....just finished eating the other :D 2 yummy! Might try again here this week, monday night or tuesday....maybe both!

Oh yeah, friday night I had to leave the house for a bit, while the realators took people through it. I went down to the Columbus Tailrace and cuaght the biggest Drum of my life! That pig had to weigh at least 7 lbs! Caught it on Garlic Shrimp...perhaps my new "Wonder Bait"! gave it to a mexican fellow that was fishing near by...made him very happy!(Fish Chalupas for the Gonzales family tonight!) You should should have seen how fast he jumped into my spot when I left! He was an extemely friendly guy, and I have never seen someone so small, smile so big, as that guy did when I handed him the fish!

I had a Mexican dude working on my house, and we were talking fishing... he said put your cleaned chunked up fish in fresh lime juice in the frridge over night, and it'll be done in the morning. Real good he said.... Haven't tried that method yet...

ce·vi·che or se·vi·che

Raw fish marinated in lime or lemon juice with olive oil and spices and served as an appetizer.

[American Spanish, from Spanish cebiche, fish stew, from cebo, fodder, bait, from Latin cibus, food.]

This stuff is good I've actually bought it in our Schnucks store seafood section.

I don't know his recipe, but Duane Chapman (The biologist not the bounty hunter) says that the silver carp are delicious servered that way.
You'll have to try it and give us a report Bob. :)
