Captured this moment on my way home from work, just missed him diving at a rodent (I wasn't quick enough). Not being a bird watcher, I honestly don't know what kind of owl this is, but it sure is beautiful.

It's a barred owl - I think they are so pretty in the winter :)

Very cool. We found a baby owl on our front porch a few years ago and called the game warden because we didn't want our dog's to kill it. He was very nice and came and picked it up and took it to a rehabilitation place.
