http://www.siloutdoors.com/imagehosting/10014b19c2e39a5f9.jpgAfter getting skunked first season, losing a spike bow hunting and missing another last season, today the deer gods were smiling down on me. The cold was starting to settle in my toes before 7am and the sun was coming up I caught movement to my right and spotted two does about 40yrds. I started to get ready for a shot when I seen horns behind them. I stood up and shot as he cleared a big oakand 20 feet later he was down. The doe he was trailing took off but made a big mistake when she decided to return the way they came. Never in all my hunting years have I killed a buck and doe in 5 minutes, but still doesn't top the day my boys shot thier first this year! It has been a very good season for us and feel very blessed. Not the best pic, have some from the woods to post later. The deer dressed at 183# nine pt.:):P.S. that is his girlfriend behind him.
