Just me and Nes this morning, one other boat in the swamp. (I didn't hear them shoot.) The only real action was early, the the wind started whipping. Managed 1 mallard and one gadwall. Yesterdays warm weather thawed out some water, and the wind was trying to keep it open. When everything froze the last few days I think it pushed out a lot of what was here. Hope there are more to come???

I went out yesterday and we ended up with one goose. We should have had more, but I think we called the shot too soon. We had a group of about 30 birds locked and coming right in, but it was right at the end of shooting time so we didn't want to miss out on our last chance. I was really surprised that we didn't see the ducks on the river. Bob, there is a river access at Columbia Bottoms on the MO river that is below Alton. There were a lot of geese piling in there to the refuge. We were able to pull the one group from there. We had some more large groups trying to land on us while we were picking up the decoys. Always seems to happen like that. There are some nice wing dams at Columbia Bottoms that should hold some nice catfish that I will be trying for next summer.

I love this cold stuff as long as I'm not at work. LOL
I went and checked a couple of trail cams and put up a video trail cam today.
Wasn't able to sit in a tree.
