Since we are making plans for a group fishing adventure this weekend is anyone interested in a bird hunt get together? I guide at Muddy River Shooting Preserve down near Wolf Lake, IL and I could arrange about any day for us to get together. Quail, Chukar and Pheasant are on hand and we would have plenty enough space for all of the members here. Groups of no more than 4 people work best and I could take one group myself. I realize in the fall everybody is doing different things between ducks, geese and deer but all I do is bird hunt so it won't effect me any! Yall just let me know who is interested and I'll get a date lined out for us.
Now that would be down right hospitable....
Thank you... Now you pick 3 or 4 dates that suit you and your clubs availability... we post a poll, and see who can make it... Barring the crik don't rise I think I'll be there....
Also... is this an invite hunt or a pay per bird hunt??? Gotta ask so people know.....(now for the BIGGIE) Is my dog allowed?.... that's all...

Yes your dog is allowed, it wouldn't be right to go bird hunting without your dog, in fact without the dog it is downright adultery!! It is a pay per bird place, sorry I ain't generous enough to go free for everybody but.. I will say the food will be awesome, there will be enough of it (it is not a pay to eat place but donation only, we don't have a health dept. certification to serve food but we can have it there with a donation box, most likely BBQ, ribs, chili, stew, soup, etc). What would work best is to say $60/hunter (or whatever price) and we will put an assortment in each field for the groups to hunt. With good coordination we could know how many people we were going to have and how many groups and how many per groups and set them out accordingly.
I'm thinking at $65/hunter we could set out (unless bird prices change again) 2 quail, 2 chukar and 2 pheasants per hunter, this is not including guides because I am thinking if we have this group we might have some more folks with bird dogs that will be the guides. I know I'll have mine, the owner of the place will be available and if we have a big enough group we can arrange for some other folks to be there if needed.
what would work best for most people, Saturdays or Sundays? We could even go mid-week if anyone wanted to.
