Sorry sometimes fishin is more fun than goin to the post office....:D gretchensteele 07-23-2007, 07:55 I still owe you package too...got it finished this weekend, and will hopefully get it today...sometimes it's hard to do my desk work when then outdoors is just sitting there besides me at the window...fishin has been more fun than the post office for me too...LOL lifestudent55 07-23-2007, 08:47 Sometimes? I thought fishing was just about the most fun thing there is. flatlander 07-23-2007, 13:53 Mr. you need to get your chores done before going outside to play. huntrz 07-23-2007, 14:05 I thought maybe he got stuck on the ferris wheel at the N.A. picnic! Bob 07-23-2007, 15:30 I thought maybe he got stuck on the ferris wheel at the N.A. picnic! No, BUT.... in true adventure trip fashion, my alternator, and hence my truck, took a crap on 44 about 70 miles short of New Athens... A short walk, 1 good Samaritan, and a new battery got me home where I was able to swap out the alternator. I like good Samaritan's... I owe someone roadside assistance....:o flatlander 07-23-2007, 15:33 You must not have been wearing your movie star hat ? You would be the last person I pick up while wearing that deliverance hat. LOL Bob 07-23-2007, 15:53 You must not have been wearing your movie star hat ? You would be the last person I pick up while wearing that deliverance hat. LOL You shoulda seen the 2 guys in MT that rescued us from running outta gas. 40 miles to a station in 3 directions... We sat at a bar deciding which way to go to run outta gas, (as that WAS the only option) probably too long, and a few games of pool to delay the inevitable... anyway, we putted to a stop in front of Elbert and Eddie's house. (The movies namesake for REAL) We almost had an argument about who was gonna stay with the truck and ride w/ those guys to get gas. I stayed with the truck.:p ZerkyTibits was back about 45 minutes later w/ gas... Moral is even guys (Father/Son... in funny hats it the middle of nowhere MT, livin in a trailer and a crappy truck) , can be friendly funny folks who save your ass. EDIT... This belongs in the redneck post too I think... DetectDave 07-23-2007, 18:47 Hey Bob, I live alongside a road and need some assistance with about 16 tons of decorative rock...does that count as roadside assistance? lifestudent55 07-23-2007, 19:00 Mr. you need to get your chores done before going outside to play. Since my wife enjoys fishing even more than I do (if that's humanly possible), it's easy for me to get a kitchen pass. I'm just not allowed to go fishing without her. FunGusAmonGus 07-23-2007, 23:40 Hey Bob, I live alongside a road and need some assistance with about 16 tons of decorative rock...does that count as roadside assistance? sounds like you need to talk to huntrz.......
