Nice, is that what's for dinner? Yummy deep fried catfish! You need to come out to crab, there are monster catfish in there......and rend too....We never did find one jug up at rend one night.....Must have been a big one take it down and run off......we searched and searched until like 2 in the morning...But that is fun stuff.....those jugs go everywhere!

That's what I fixed for lunch LOL - I think I'm going to tie off to some trees this evening then go back in the morning to see what I end up with. Technically you aren't supposed to jug at the our city lake...I'm not sure who would growl at me though?

oh ok.......It's fun we had so much fun one night at rend...First we had to go round and round and drag for shad and then round and round and catch the jugs....Don't know if it was really that fun or all the gas fumes but we were having a time! :)

I love jugging...when dad was alive we did it at home almost every evening....run the throw nets for the bait fish then bait the trot lines, then drop the jugs....

I still like workin' em in with a rod and reel myself. Just seems to be more fun that way. We've gotten a few real nice ones out of Rend and Carlyle, usually when we were fishing for crappies. There's nothing like wrassling one of them in with ultralight tackle when you're fishing for bluegills though.

That's what happened to me the other morning...It was about the same size as the smaller of the two in the pic above..and I thought I had a monster...I played with that thing for what seemed like a half an hour cause I was not going to lose him! I probably like line and pole better than jugging and trot lines...it is so fun to wrangle one of the big guys!

Smoky...let's juat say I found a way around the jug issue...LOL shhhh...Bam Bam ROFL
I figured use the duck decoys for jugs....LOL
But, you have a point...I don't think anybody ever enforces anything there..except - remember the guy that replaced Carl Holland lives across the field in Lester Campbell's old house. Well, at least he used to.....do you know if he still does?

That is too funny once again......I do know sometimes the conservation officer slips into Marion City Lake the back way......
The only way into the lake is off of Rt37 like in the pics I posted but, it backs up to I57 and we use 57 daily and see em pulled off there. Then hell walk down into the treez there.....
I bet some people are really shocked!

Oh really?? The club to the south? We been going back there since we where young.....I think I been all around that lake! lol.....It goes on forever....

I didn't know about the conservation officers going back there until we moved to LOE and take the interstate to town alot........That's when I started seeing them parked on the highway and walking into there the back way.......I bet alot of people are not looking for them.......since there is only one little ROAD into there!
