is the light in the foreground from your cameras flash or from headlights?

if you can set you shutter speed on you camera, pick a slower shutter speed which will give you a longer exposure. If you can up the iso, try about 400 maybe even 600....now the catch to both of those is you will need either a tripod, monopod, or something to rest the camera on or shots may well be blurry...just pushing the shutter button or breathing is enough on longer exposure...oh and turn off the flash!
Mine goes from 100-400 that's it...
I think I need a new camera...lol.....I need a good excuse to get one though....
Hub, thinks he paid alot for mine..lol.....I told him 200-300 aian't nuttin compared to 1000!
I wanna shop around a while for one though...

you would probably really like a DSLR or one of the higher end point and shoots...they keep coming down in price...so be patient!
What's the big difference?

With an SLR single lens reflex...you have way more control over everything, you have lots of lenses to choose from (and lust after and spend money on LOL) I'll see if I can't dig up a link that can explain it better than I probably can...
Couldn't be no higher than fishing stuff and hunting stuff right? Wonder how much goes to that.....
No, I don't know...I need to work on using mine correctly and learning ALL the basics before I buy something really fancy...

Now there's a good point too.
I've been eyeing the Nikon dslrs partly because I can use the lens from the Nikon slr I already have. I kinda miss working with film, but I sure don't miss having to buy film then wait while someone else develops the pictures, or having to pay for that developing. The digitals are also a lot more environment friendly since some of those chemicals are not eco friendly.

That's why I went with the canon DSLRs..I have all canon film cameras, and didn't have to reinvest in a boat load of lenses...I still shoot some film..mainly BW..but I can't say that I miss it that much..I have gotten way spoiled with the digtal...and since I shoot RAW all the time..it's pretty much like being able to manipulate film in a dark room..it just doesn't smell, isn't flammable, and isn't wrecking the environment. Everyone I know that has one of the Nikon's loves them...the new D40's have really good reviews...and they aren't quite so pricey (relatively speaking LOL)
