Could have used your high speed reach out and touch someone camera tonight.
So you could see these 3 guys.

I have a ring attachment that works to attach the spotting scope to my camera...the shot quality isn't that great...but it will work in a pinch....I'm still saving for one of the really good canon reach out touch someone lenses...but jeez..they cost almost as much as I paid for my house!

How much do they cost FL?

The one in the picture was well over $1000
When I was looking into digiscoping the big expense really wasn't just the camera but the adapter that is needed and the spotting scope.
From what I read the camera doesn't have to be anything special was just recommended to be over 4mp, I think it was.

This was the site I was reading about it on last year.

what I have learned is actually the shots are much better with smaller point and shoot cameras than the DSLR's..if it's on a tripod, and if there's plenty of light..you can do very well. Bearing in mind, I don't have one the better scopes...now if I had one like shown..I would probably have better luck...LOL
Even the adapters aren't that pricey...it's the spotting scope that will eat up your wallet.

Does that addapter fit any scope? I already have a spot scope, never really thought about that type of a set up, as soon as the camera gets here and I figure out how to turn it on ;) I hope yall don't mind a few questions on different things, Because I have been looking at different sites and even a few "photo" sites and it may just be an "illinois" thang, but you all that post the photos, WOW! Hats off to all of ya, they are great, great looking. I am not getting into anything other than personal use but would like to beable to put some on the wall ya know? Ma bought me a Cannon s3 which i know is outdated already but should be good enough for me to klik away...LOL thanks RL

you would have to get an adapter specific to the scope and the camera...somewhere I have link for site that has just about every combination....I'll try to help all I can..but I am lousy at explaining things...I can show somebody how to do something, or even make a flow chart..but just to explain...I'm awful at it!
And I agree..there are some top notch shots here..and I participate in several photo groups and art groups..and our members shots could go head to head with any of the folks who fancy themselves photographers on the other sites!
