Don't eat it!!! I think it's white funnel...not a chanterelle...maybe a lentinus of some sort...I could tell better if I saw the top...but I'm pretty certain that's not a chanterelle... It's darn good mushroom shot though! and we all know I am a sucker for shrooms! looks like there's some good mycelium trails on that log...if you got some rain yesterday, there's probably more there today. flatlander 07-18-2007, 06:00 There was at least one other smaller one when I took the picture. We got very little rain yesterday so there may be more. Not hard to check its back behind my yard. This is a really nice shroom site, and the fella who manges is very pleasant and helpful with id's.
