I'm heading down to Rend for the weekend just wandering if anyone knows how the Cats are biting and what they are biting on. Will probably run lines and jugs. Thanks for any info.

I dunno the latest info down there, but cut shad always works best for me...

We always used shad up at rend as well.....works good....Rend has alot of catfish in it....

The bite isnt doin good right now from what i hear the spillway is closed and dried up and the lake has dropped drasticly in depth right now. I personally aint been there in a few weeks but a guide said the lake needs water.

We haven't been to Rend for a couple months either. When we did fish there the cats would bite on just about anything we'd cast to them. We prefer rod and reel fishing for them ourselves, but I've even caught them on mealworms when fishing for bluegills. They're a lot of fun on ultralight tackle.
