we caught half dozen nice little ones - (just the right size for frying ) and one fair sized one this am. Critter was using night crawlers..and I caught mine on minnows...in the shady shallows on the creek side of the bridge just above Johnson Creek turn off. Caught and released lots of little sandwich sized blue gill..and trotline bait too! LOL

just finished eating my catfish! I don't beer batter....I use dry fish fry mix on them..but still yummmmy!!! Good summer supper....fresh sweet corn, tomatoes, squash, and catfish....two big black dogs laying at my feet....a great day puddling around the creeks...life sometimes just doesn't get any better....:)
Yep Critter is my husband, and yep fairly close to the campground at Johnson Creek. We always camp at the hike in sites over the little bridge...there's a couple on "the point" that have teeny little docks that work well for a canoe or a little two man boat...
