We spent most of the morning yesterday canning peppers and beets. Well what we could salvage of our pitiful beet crop. The peppers are in full force now. We have been picking them since June but there really coming on in abundance now. Just thought I would share our day with yall. :)

You mean it only took 2 beers to can that many peppers??? I would have though it would have taken longer than that. :D Looks like you had a productive day.

Now there's a blast from the past! Billy Beer? Haven't seen that in ages.

We haven't had enough chilies to can. I'm going to have to put out a bigger garden next year.

Is there some unwritten rule that the best days to can are also always the hottest days of the year? LOL
Makes me long for a summer kitchen every summer..

BTW your garage/shop is cleaner and better organized than my house!!!

With all the nice weather this Summer the 3 days I have canned it has been hotter than hell. What else was I going to do. Spent some time with the neighbor drinking some cold ones and look what happened.

Take some of those peppers and stuff them with shredded cabbage,and can them with a sweetend vinegar.they are awesome.

Yes garlic, dill, canning salt, caraway seed, peppers, and vinegar/water.
