That one done had heems ears nibbled on. Nice shots G!
I have been seeing a lot more too, maybe the cougars have eaten all the yotes and the rabbit and quail population is growing.

Nice to hear being a rabbit hunter. Know any public ground that has a good population. I am looking for somewhere to get my dogs out.

Is that a tick inside the left ear? Good rabbit shots. How'd you get that critter to hold still and pose for all those shots?

Harry I have seen a bunch in my travels to mite be the wild cats I had to bury. looked like lead poisoning to me
Nice pics Gretchen.
I too have been seeing more rabbits the past couple years. Makes me wonder why?
I don't have any solid facts to support this, but I don't think people are hunting rabbits like in the past. Other possibilities???
Perhaps people are keeping closer reigns on their cats and dogs which means
the rabbits are doing better in subdivisions away from coyotes/bobcats. Then they move out of the subdivisions and populate wooded areas. Could also be related to the weather?
I wonder how much CRP ground has to do with it too Fly.
