Me and my son mikejulie have been colecting beagles for a year now and want to start training in ernest for rabbitt sesone. Last year we picked up a buck and 2 does at the bird swap in Waterloo and now we have 11 cotton tails. Need to find some one with this breed what we could do some trading on bucks to keep the gene pools active. Any help would be great. also any one wanting to run some pups over the rabbits just drop me a line.

I used to raise the rabbits and had a 5 acre enclosure to train the beagles.

boy you wer realy into it I just got a fenced yard with wood pile. Just to let the pups site trail and find out about brush piles. Any ideas on some one with a buck? Know I got 2 does out of thefirst litter of 3 and the second litter by the other doe just opened their eyes yesterday so probly woulnt need a new buck till next spring just checking things out.

OMMike, ya might check out that animal exchange down in Waterloo...Fun can probably fill ya in more on dates. I bet someone there will have them or know a source.

Thats where I got the first 3 some, All the same size so I got tothink if they are not bro's and sis's at least cousins. It was both of thiers first litter but one had 4 the other just had 5, both lost one about day 5-6. Realy wooryed about the gene pool.
Date is LAST Sunday each mounth exp. July when county has fair.
