Had to use that one on JDAWG's 8-pointer that got up and charged me. I might order a permit this year, if I do that Vaquero is gonna put meat in the freezer! Is that a soft lok quiver? I love them... Thanks and yes it's a Alpine Soft Lok. I have my fingers crossed http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a231/silbowhunter/hands.gifthat first blood will be during my Sept bear hunt in Mn. uncle matt 07-12-2007, 13:00 I don't need nothing fancy. The gotta have the latest equipment crowd give me a good laugh, and the mfg'rs. some more dough. Kinda like the golf hacker who buys the latest driver thinking that'll surely put them in the game! It's the man and how he plays the game more than what he plays it with. Case in point - ever see old man Benoit's shotgun? It sure seems to bag many a fine deer. My bow? An old Bear Whitetail Hunter II, shot with fingers and eyeballs. Shoots swell out to 30-35 yards. Maybe I'll treat it to a new string this year. My usual shotgun for deer? H&R USH in 12 gauge. It's a dandy well past 100 yards! With a well placed shot - you only need one. The one thing that no one has mentioned and is simply the absolutely most important part of MY game? PATIENCE! 3 doses works real well.
