I think I know some of those people. (I ain't fessin' up to being related to 'em though.)

That Toyota landcruiser painted up like a John Deere was pictured in Peterson's 4-wheel and Off Road about 10 or 12 years ago. I remember seeing it before I had my drivers license. The guy actually did one heck of a restore job on it too, 2 1/2 ton rockwell axles, ARB lockers front and back, I think either a Borg-Warner T-18 or T-19 4 speed, C-6 Ford or a GM 400 Turbo tranny with a supercharged 350 Chevy in it and a huge Borg-Warner transfer case. It was quite impressize, put a dot approved tire on it and I believe it was street legal if memory serves me right.

I haven't used beer cans as a measuring tape but I have used a pistol.

I think the highrise mobile home is south of Carbonadle off of whatever road runs past the Glass House off of Giant City Rd.

I have used a rake as a hot dog cooker, works wuite well i might add just don't use a plastic one!
