I was talking to my neighbor across the road and he shared with me that he spotted two Mtn Lions just down the road.
He said he called into the DNR and they told him that this is this 7th report of these cats in the past month.
It's about 1/3 of a mile from the house. I'm going to ask for permission to set up a trail cam to capture (if any) these cats!
Hope to verify folks!!

Well, I could use any advice I can get to increase the success of this.
I'm surprised that the mtn lions have gotten this far north (Bond County just north of Interstate 70).

Or south. Remember, one was shot in Chicago last year. They figured it to be from the Black Hills area, also, Michigan admits they have a breeding colony of Cougars in lower Michigan.

A good bet would be to set your cameras up near where the "cats" were spotted cause if they are still around, they will "patrol" near there again. They do have routines they follow. Good Luck.

He said"

How many people have heard the same thing? Someone talked to a guy that heard someone talked to the DNR. Call them. Ask them if they have heard anything?

Did you put the trail cams out?

Can't find out who owns the land yet to get permission.
old34, the neighbor was out looking for his dog that had ran off because of fireworks. The dog showed up 5 days later but seen them during his hunting of the dog. All I can do is go by that. Will see if it pans out if I can get a trail cam on the land.
