That is the date for the next tourney. It's a night tournament this time and the tournament director is predicting that a 5 fish limit of 300 lbs is what it's going to take to win this! WOW!!
The weigh in is at midnight in Alton at the boat dock by the Clark Bridge.
These night tournaments of the past couple of years have produced some huge stringers!:)

yes, they have been known to use the side of a silver. But mainly skipjack..whole...and not the little ones...:D

Also, this here is not for the faint of heart. River fishing can be dangerous, especially when up and there is allot of trash moving. Things seem to be calm now. But these guys know their stuff and go prepared. Should go without saying, but it is lifejackets all the time out there. Couple years ago tow of the best on the pro trail were anchored and fishing on the river, a log or something under the surface hit the anchor line and their huge boat was gone in a second. One minute calmly fishing, the next, swimming for shore.

I was hoping to get the results to all from last nights tourney. My source is Outdoors with Larry Reid. They did not share with the listeners the results but will interview the tourney director (Justin Wolfe) next Sunday.
I'll share with everybody the winning stringer. If anyone has that info. please post it.
I'm anxious to hear the lbs produced in this event.

Here are the results: 117 lbs won the tourney, (way short of the 300-lbs predicted).
65-lbs was the big fish which the first place folks caught.
That was the kind of fish anticipated to limit out a 300lb + stringer.
Gosh, I would still brag on that!
