If you are passing through Coulterville, stop in Pistol City and give them a try....I have to admit that sometimes service is a bit slow if ordering off the menu, but they have a great lunch time ad nsuppertime buffet, and a nice breakfast buffet on weekends and holidays. Very friendly staff..can be casual or even a bit dressy, a little bar and pool table in the back.
Sam the owner is usually circulating around and willing to help out with scouting hunting/fishing/ locations. Pleanty of parking in te rear lot if you are pulling a trailer or boat ...
These folks also own/run the Coyote ATV trails just outside Coulterville - great trails for riding and playing around, and the woods surrounding the trails has been kept pretty intact. I futz around in the woods there a good bit because it still has some native plant species that are hard to find.
