I had never seen this behavior before!

When I first saw the hen laying there I thought she was dead then she went to flipping up dust. She would dust for 10 sec. or so wait a min. or two and do it again. I watched her do it at least 5 times before she got up.

When she got done she got up and shook it off.

The Jake that had been watching her went to the same spot and dusted himself too.

I wish they would have been closer, they were about 100 yards away so the images are heavily cropped.

Would have never known they were heavily cropped if you hadn't told us LOL These are super and I'd say good PSO material LOL -
Really well done!

I seen other birds dust, makes sense turkeys would too. Excellent shots.
