Anyone know of a litter of German Shorthaired Pointer puppies?
I'm looking for sort of the opposite of a "hot" field trial type GSP. I'm wanting a puppy that will likely grow to be a cool, collected, close working bird hunter.
If it were a little on the smaller size that would be a plus.
Thanks

Welcome Erick! Let me check with a couple of the trainers over here in C'ville.. maybe they will have good idea of where there are some pups right now :)
I have a GSP from field trial lines and they can be trained to work close. And I am by no means a professional trainer. The breed will run bigger than a lab will in the field. The good thing about these lines is that my dog is solid muscle and can run all day long in the field.

Got Mine At Mabe Kennels.........best Dog Ever..........they Have A Website..........good Luck.....
I also have a short hair I won at a QU Banquet. This year will be his second season. He s pointing quail and pheasant. Backs on sight. Stays in close. We have to work on retrieving. He will whoa on command. Been training him using the Rick Smith Silent Command System.
Will keep my eyes open for a pup.
