Flying insects would be a good theme one month..like butterflies, fireflies, birds, bees things like that.....they even have them flying fish! lol.

I like number 1 better....I can't get butterflies to sit long enough...Don't think it would be the kids and the dogs fault do ya??? LOL

Really Nice detail in these! The butterfly looks like he's had a little rough going....
That's why I love my long lens...I can stay far enough away to not spook them....

another one of our foodplots, this one has ladino, red and yellow sweet clover, alfalfa, lezpdzea, chicory, and we're going to put in some buck forage oats this fall. if you haven't tried oats for a plot, try it! it is by far the best fall plot for attraction I have seen on our farm.

well even though we have had a serious lack of rain up until a couple of weeks ago, most of our foodplots are doing ok, here's some photos I took Sunday, October 21st...

the chicory & ladino clover plot, we planted this last spring, the clover died back til the last week or so, but the chicory thrived in the drought conditions and the deer loved it...

a pure stand of whieteil institute clover planted last fall, it is one the shady side of a powerline right away so I think that helped keep it moist and thriving thoughout the dry spell...

this is some Tecomate Max Attract 50/50, it didnt get much rain since we planted it, but again the part of the plot that is partially shaded is doing ok and the sunny North side barely shows any growth...

our Buck Forage Oats plot is just barely getting started, we did put some clover to fill the void next spring and even some austrian peas in this plot, the peas were in case we had some early moisture and a long indian summer, again this is the South side of the plot which recieves less sunlight and has more moisture...
