I learned something about things I cook with that have bugged the heck outta me over the years. You know how ya open a roll of aluminum foil or Saran wrap and the roll comes out or gets jammed up so bad that it tears or gets dinged up or just gets to the point that it's so screwed up ya throw it out? Well, I learned the other day that all of these years I've been cooking, little did I know that on each end of that roll on the box, there is a little V shaped spot that you can press in and it holds the roll in the box securely like a miniature paper towel holder. How did I not see that after all this time and aggravation? It's still not 100% great but it's a lot better than without it. Hope this helps somebody else.

I was reading that a while back on Snopes (http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/household/locktab.asp). I started locking the tabs, then I'd get a roll of foil where it started having one edge of it tear and not unroll so I'd have to get the roll out and straighten it out. It does come in handy keeping the roll from pulling out when you use it though.

I only found that out last year myself. Someone sent me an email about it. Who ever looks on the end of their foil boxes. Very good to know now though LOL

Reynolds foil has 'press here to lock roll' on the ends of the carton, right on the triangles.....

OMG , I never knew that , Thank You ! I just went and did it to my rolls of saran and tin foil. The waxpaper and parchment paper dont have them on the end though, Wonder why :confused:

Yes but who looks there when they open the foil box? Not many people but some. I guess that could go along with "if all else fails read the instructions" LOL:D
