Every year the BAI holds a shoot across the border in LaPorte Ind. at Fish Lake. Fish Lake is a small body of water but it holds some real good fish. Here is the report from our home site....hope ya like the pics!
Once again Fish lake comes thru with some MONSTERS and two new Indiana BAA record fish!
We had a surprisingly good turn out of 14 boats, for a shoot that we really dont promote that much due to the size of the waters. Its really great to see members driving such long distances to support the club shoots and to hang out with each other for a while. We had 6 new members join the BAI yesterday!!! :)2 :)2 :)2 And a new team (new members also) came out to their first shoot after we met them at Cabelas last spring. Now to me, that alone makes the shoot a success! Thanks for coming out guys, I really hope you enjoy the BAI tournaments.
Now, on to the good stuff! We started the night off with a hot dog BBQ thanks to Bob Paul, and we then did our prize drawings for a once again overflowing prize table! Tom Brooks was the big winner taking home a nice AMS Retriever Pro.

We hit the water at sundown. While the fish were not as thick as we would like to see, they were there and some real monsters were taken. From what Ive heard lower fish lake was pretty dead, and upper was decent. One thing there were plenty of were spotted gar. Most presented some tough shots at small fish several feet deep. Some shad were there too but they just wouldnt sit still for a shot! But the real story of the shoot once again were the buffalo. Several large fish were taken, some gar and commons. Here are a few of the biggest......
