I know that the water temps/conditions, ambient conditions have everything to do with lure selection. But I am looking for what everyone is having luck with more specifically during this time of year (June/July). For farm pond fishing, I am having great luck with all white or all black chatterbaits (must be the name brand original "chatterbait"), chartreuse or black buzz-bait early morning or late evening. And jigs, nearly all colors except white and orange.
1st off, welcome to SILO.
Lately, as the days heat up, I've been slowing down and using TX rigged worms in various colors. I usually try to match the water color. All the rest of your stuff is right on. Don't know about the chatter baits though. Have yet to try em.
geez, must be nice to just be catchin some fish
No but i've tried hot tamale :)
Lately i've been trying everything and have been catching nothing. Im tired of having to drive two hours just to find somewhere good to fish. IM about to dig a pond in my backyard and stock that mf full of fish!!!
I have been catching a few nice bass on buzz baits, but yes overall, they have really been slowing down. Spring was great. Now, fishing is slow for sure.

Pond (noun): A hole in the ground you throw money into.
I've got a koi pond, and that thing is a big money pit. a fishing pond might not be so expensive so long as you can get it to hold water.

I've seen Brad's pond and it holds water very well and is absolutely beautiful.

Does it catch fish, or just fishermen?
