Has anyone been fishing Carlyle lake lately ? I'm trying to find out if the white bass are hitting yet on the flats. Any info would be greatly appreciated !

was up there at the spillway bout a week ago doing some catfishing and saw some pic's of some nice bass being caught while i was at the bait shop. the guy there said that everyone's been catching them on the rocks with medium diving crank baits.

Went there today. Had my typical day below the dam. A few decent size cats, lots of small cats, few drums ans lots of snags.

and lots of snags.

That bottom there would be a veritable gold mine.

Or lead mine with all the sinkers lost down there.

shoot that place should be considered an hazmat site with all the dead fish and guts all up and down the bank

Roman, just joined this site and looking over the topics. I fish Carlyle 2-3 times a week and the lake was real hot on the flats and at the south end, but it has slowed a little the last week or so. THe success lately has been closer to the points in shallower water.

Thanks isp2443. We're heading to Carlyle today and if the water isn't too rough we'll probably be trying to fish it some. We have to wait till a little late in the day cause we've got to pick our boat up from some repairs first.
