I stopped at a state park near Utica, Illinois to see if there was anything to photograph on my way south, these Cicadas were everywhere, it takes them 17 years to hatch...

This is an outstanding shot and I am soooo envious...all I ever get to shoot are the plain old ones around here...I almost drove up there just to try and shootsome....really really great shot!
I'm thinking that the new would wear off pretty quick after dealing with them on a daily basis for awhile though...
