We can tell who's mom wouldn't let him play with bows and stuff when he was growing up. It's good to be getting some positive coverage for bowfishing.

ever see the one where Tim almost got sucked into a woodchipper? That was funny.....That river they where on is a killer. The Quiver River usually drowns two or three people a year. Looks like its got some gar.

I didn't get to see it. I work evenings so I don't watch much regular network TV. More important things to do...like fish.

Too many people don't respect rivers and lakes. I grew up on the water, but learned early to respect it. The lake I spent most of my summers on while growing up claims at least one victim almost every year too. Some people haven't learned that the only way alcohol mixes with water is in your glass. (Yeah it's lame, but it's true.)

That's why I will stick to many camera if I evr get to go bowfishing with anyone...all I would be is entertaining I am afraid....
I whole heartedly agree about folks not understanding how dangerous a seemingingly innocolous looking body of water can be....
Down around the bardge at Evansville on the weekends just makes me cringe at times...

we used to jump off the bumpers down at Evansville before the torched off the rungs of the ladder . There was always some dipshizzs who had to do us one better and jump off the bridge.I always have to laugh when I see the signs they put up "no jumping from the bridge" well DUHHHH....On the Quiver River a few years back a couple of local guys got drunk and on a dare jumped in when the river was at flood stage. One of them didn't make it. When I seen it on the news I couldn't believe they jumped in cause everybody around there kinda fears that river.My grandmothers family lives around there.Most of my cousins won't even go out on it in a boat.

Sounds like the Rock River up by Moline, IL. It looks so lazy and slow yet every year it claims several lives.

Heck my brother and I used to love swimming in the local creek when it would flood out of it's banks. One time we even took a guy who couldn't swim and put him on a log that was floating down. Wow if our parents had only known. LOL
