2lbs12oz. and 13.5in. long. Just about as fat as it was long! I wish I got a pic of it from the top.....it was like a football it was so thick. Its going to the taxidermist today!! Got it in the Lasalle F&W Area on the Kankakee River backwaters.

That is cool Joe...WTG!! Where is the LaSalle F & W Area? That used be my my old stomping grounds but I don't remember an area by that name.

It near Lake Village Dave, right where the Kankakee crosses the Ill. Ind. border. Lots of good backwaters there as well as the river. We hold a couple shoots there every year.

Cool looking fish EJoe. Congrats, that is a pretty small target for bowfishing.

That's a pretty one Joe. Nice colors on it. One thing...please don't come fishing in my koi pond, OK?

Since you mentioned it......:D Im actually keeping a cast net close by in my boat this year. Last season I saw some real nice big Koi in Grass Lake and in the DesPlaines. Ive got a feeling they escaped some ponds around grass during the floods..... I saw how much they are worth. So, Im going to try and net them if I see em out there this year!

Yeah, that's probably what happened. They're another Asian carp, but at least they aren't as prolific as the bigheads, silvers, etc. They also need to be removed from the rivers, but I like your idea for them instead of shooting them.

I know you've probably already mentioned it elsewhere on here, but what part of the state do you live in?

I am in the S/W suburbs of Chicago Life. Grass lake is right on the Wis. border, and Lasalle is about 50 miles south of me in Indiana.
