This is out at Pyramid near the water tower. At first I thought this was the end of a pit where they came to the end of where they where mining and walked the drag lines out but when I looked on Terra server it looked like they had some type of coal loading facility set up here like a temple where they loaded coal onto a conveyor belt to send it over to the temple on Pyatt Blacktop. Anyways it kinda shows the underlying rock strata. on the one side you used to be able to see a coal seam in the side of the cut. When Pyramid first opened there was no water in this pit but it looks like its starting to fill up.

Wow - it is filling up.. it used to be dry!

Yeah I wonder what they did to make it fill up all of a sudden like that? I told the kids this is what the other pits could look like before they filled up so they have an ideal how deep the water can potentially be.:eek:
